Anil has been in practice since 1995 after graduating as a Barrister of England and Wales (Middle Temple) and a five-year career as an infantry officer with the Singapore Armed Forces before that. He has also been In-house Counsel and head of Davis Langdon & Seah (now part of Arcadis)’s Contract Advisory and Dispute Management division (2006-2008), and with the arbitration practice group of the international law firm Hogan Lovells Lee and Lee (2008-2009)
Trained in Adjudication and International Investment Treaty Arbitration with the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), Anil is on the panel of Mediators and Arbitrators in Singapore, Malaysia (including Adjudicators) and India.
He is currently honorary legal advisor to the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV), honorary assistant treasurer of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore) (SCL(S)) and is its permanent representative to the SCL (International) Liaison Committee (SCL(Int’l)), honorary secretary to the Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association (SSLBA) and honorary advisory to the Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Association (APCCA) and the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA). Anil was also the honorary treasurer of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) (2011-2013) and Chairman of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore) (SCL(S)) (2012-2014).
Anil’s specialised work with Appropriate Dispute Resolution mainly as a Mediator (with the Singapore Mediation Centre: http://www.mediation.com.sg), Neutral Evaluator, Adjudicator and Arbitrator now includes being a Director (and one of twelve Consultants) with Trinity ADR Pte. Ltd. (http://trinityadr.com), a Singapore setup with a panel Consultants that includes negotiators, accredited mediators (including specialist Family mediators), collaborative professionals, arbitrators, psychologist, coaches and trainers, providing a single platform for the exploration of solutions to a wide variety of disputes.
Reena graduated from the University of Bristol, England with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 2013, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law, Bristol, England in 2014. She first joined CHANGAROTH CHAMBERS LLC in December 2014 as a Relevant Legal Trainee, and subsequently as a Practice Trainee in January 2016 after completing Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations. After being Called to the Bar in August 2016, she is now part of the core team dealing with Appropriate Dispute Resolution in a range of Commercial, Civil, Corporate & Criminal matters and (having been trained at the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration) Sports Arbitration
Syafiq graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 2015. After completing the Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations, he joined CHANGAROTH CHAMBERS LLC in January 2016 as a Practice Trainee. After being Called to the Bar in August 2016, he is now part of the core team dealing with Appropriate Dispute Resolution in a range of Commercial, Civil, Corporate & Criminal matters. Syafiq also handles (including having co-authored “Online Dispute Resolution, Suitability in the Construction Industry” with Anil published in the Asia Journal on Mediation 2016) all aspects of the Chambers’s legal practice with Technology
